“And O my people! I ask you for no wealth in return: my reward is from none but Allah: But I will not drive away (in contempt) those who believe: for verily they are to meet their Lord, and you I see the ignorant ones! (11:29)
“But if you turn back, (consider): no reward have I asked of you: my reward is only due from Allah, and I have been commanded to be of those who submit to Allah’s will (in Islam).” (10:72)
“Obey those who ask no reward of you (for themselves), and who have themselves received Guidance. (36:21)
Say: “No reward do I ask of you for this (Qur’an), nor am I a pretender. (38:86)
That is (the Bounty) whereof Allah gives Glad Tidings to His Servants who believe and do righteous deeds. Say: “No reward do I ask of you for this except the love of those near of kin.” And if any one earns any good, We shall give him an increase of good in respect thereof: for Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Ready to appreciate (service). (42:23)
That was the reasoning about Us, which We gave to Ibrahim (to use) against his people: We raise whom We will, degree after degree: for your Lord is full of wisdom and knowledge. (6:83)
We gave him Ishaq and Ya`qub: all (three) guided: and before him, We guided Nuh, and among his progeny, Dawud, Sulayman, Ayyub, Yusuf, Musa, and Harun: thus We reward those who do good: (6:84)
And Zakariyya and Yahya, and `Isa an Ilyas: all in the ranks of the righteous: (6:85)
And Isma`il and al-Yasa`, and Yunus, and Lut: and to all We gave favour above the nations: (6:86)
(To them) and to their fathers, and progeny and brethren: We chose them, and we guided them to a straight way. (6:87)
This is the guidance of Allah: He gives that guidance to whom He pleases, of His worshippers. If they were to join other gods with Him, all that they did would be vain for them. (6:88)
These were the men to whom We gave the Book, and authority, and prophethood: if these (their descendants) reject them, Behold! We shall entrust their charge to a new people who reject them not. (6:89)
Those were the (prophets) who received Allah’s guidance: Copy the guidance they received; Say: “No reward for this do I ask of you: This is no less than a message for the nations.” (6:90)
Or is it that you askest them for some recompense? But the recompense of your Lord is best: He is the Best of those who give sustenance. (23:72)
Or is it that you do ask them for a reward, so that they are burdened with a load of debt?- (68:46)
Or is it that you do ask for a reward, so that they are burdened with a load of debt?- (52:40)
The Signs of Allah have they sold for a miserable price, and (many) have they hindered from His way: evil indeed are deeds they have done. (9:9)
