বিছমিল্লা-হির রাহ’মা-নির রাহীম

শুরু করছি আল্লাহর নামে যিনি পরম করুণাময়, অতি দয়ালু।

Bismi-LLahir-Rahmanir-Rahim

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

তাব্বাত ইয়াদা- আবী লাহাবিওঁ ওয়া তাব্ব।

ধ্বংস হউক, আবূ লাহাবের দুই হস্ত এবং ধ্বংস হউক সে নিজেও।

Tabbat yada ’Abi lahabinw-wa tabb

Perish the hands of the Father of Flame! Perish he!

মা- আগনা- ‘আনহু মা-লুহূ ওয়ামা- কাছাব্।

উহার ধন-সম্পদ ও উহার উপার্জন উহার কোন কাজে আসে নাই।

Ma ’aghna ‘anhu maluhu wa ma kasab.

No profit to him from all his wealth, and all his gain!

ছাইয়াসলা- না-রাং যা-তা লাহাব।

অচিরে সে প্রবেশ করিবে লেলিহান অগ্নিতে

Sa-yasla Naran-dhata LAHAB.

Burnt soon will be in a Fire of blazing flame!

ওয়াম্‌রাআতুহূ; হাম্মা-লাতাল হাতাব।

এবং তাহার স্ত্রীও-যে ইন্ধন বহন করে,

Wamra-’atuhu; hamma-latal-hatab.

His wife shall carry the (crackling) wood - As fuel!-

ফী জীদিহা- হাবলুম্‌ মিম্‌ মাছাদ্।

তাহার গলদেশে পাকান রজ্জু।

Fi jidiha hablum-mim-MASAD

A twisted rope of palm-leaf fibre round her (own) neck!
