৮৬। সূরা তারিক, আয়াত- ১৭, মাক্কী- ৩৬।

86. SURA AT-TARIQ, Ayat- 17, Makki- 36.

বিছমিল্লা-হির রাহ’মা-নির রাহীম শুরু করছি আল্লাহর নামে যিনি পরম করুণাময়, অতি দয়ালু। Bismi-LLahir-Rahmanir-Rahim In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
ওয়াছ্‌ ছামা-ই ওয়াত’তা-রিক। শপথ আকাশের এবং রাত্রিতে যাহা আবির্ভূত হয় তাহার; Was-Sama-’i wat-TARIQ By the Sky and the Night-Visitant (therein);-	01
ওয়াছ্‌ ছামা-ই ওয়াত’তা-রিক। শপথ আকাশের এবং রাত্রিতে যাহা আবির্ভূত হয় তাহার; Was-Sama-’i wat-TARIQ By the Sky and the Night-Visitant (therein);-	02
আন্নাজমুছা’ছা-কি’ব। উহা উজ্জ্বল নক্ষত্র। ’An-Najmuth-thaqib. (It is) the Star of piercing brightness;-	03
ইং কুল্লু নাফছিল্‌ লাম্মা-‘আলাইহা- হা-ফিজ। প্রত্যেক জীবের উপরই তত্ত্বাবধায়ক রহিয়াছে। ’In-kullu nafsil lamma ‘alayha hafiz. There is no soul but has a protector over it.	04
ফালইয়াংযু’রিল ইংছা-নু মিম্মা খুলিক। সুতরাং মানুষ প্রণিধান করুক কী হইতে তাহাকে সৃষ্টি করা হইয়াছে! Fal-yanzuril-’insanu-mimma khuliq. Now let man but think from what he is created!	05
খুলিকা মিম্মা-ইং দা-ফিকি। তাহাকে সৃষ্টি করা হইয়াছে সবেগে স্খলিত পানি হইতে, Khuliqa mimma-’in da-fiq. He is created from a drop emitted-	06
ইয়াখরুজু মিম বাইনিসসুল্‌বি ওয়াত্তারা-ইব। ইহা নির্গত হয় মেরুদন্ড ও পঞ্জরাস্থির মধ্য হইতে। Yakhruju mim-baynis-sulbi wat-tara-’ib. Proceeding from between the backbone and the ribs:	07
ইন্নাহূ ‘আলা-রাজ‘ইহী লাকা-দির। নিশ্চয়ই তিনি তাহার প্রত্যাবর্তনে ক্ষমতাবান। ’Inna-Hu ‘ala raj‘ihi la-qadir. Surely (Allah) is able to bring him back (to life)!	08
ইয়াওমা তুবলাছ্‌ ছারা-ইর। যেই দিন গোপন বিষয় পরীক্ষিত হইবে, Yawma tublas-sara-’ir The Day that (all) things secret will be tested,	09
ফালা-লাহূ মিং কুওওয়াতিওঁ ওয়ালা-না-সির। সেই দিন তাহার কোন সামর্থ্য থাকিবে না এবং সাহায্যকারীও নয়। Fama lahu min-quw-watinw-wa la nasir. (Man) will have no power, and no helper.	10
ওয়াছ্‌ ছামা-ই যা-তির্‌ রাজ‘ই। শপথ আসমানের, যাহা ধারণ করে বৃষ্টি, Was-Sama’i dhatir-raj‘ By the firmament which returns (in its round),	11
ওয়াল আরদি যা-তিসসাদ‘ই। এবং শপথ যমীনের, যাহা বিদীর্ণ হয়, Wal-’ardi dhatis-sad‘ And by the Earth which opens out (for he gushing of springs or the sprouting of vegetation)-	12
ইন্নাহূ লাকাওলুং ফাস্ল। নিশ্চয়ই আল-কুরআন মীমাংসাকারী বাণী। ’Innahu la-qawlun-fasl. Behold this is the Word that distinguishes (Good from Evil):	13
ওয়ামা- হুওয়া বিল হাঝলি। এবং ইহা নিরর্থক নয়। Wa ma huwa bil-hazl It is not a thing for amusement.	14
ইন্নাহুম ইয়াকীদূনা কাইদাওঁ। উহারা ভীষণ ষড়যন্ত্র করে, ’Innahum yakiduna kayda. As for them, they are but plotting a scheme,	15
ওয়া আকীদু কাইদা-। এবং আমিও ভীষণ কৌশল করি। Wa ’akidu kayda And I am planning a scheme.	16
ফামাহ্‌হিলিল কা-ফিরীনা আমহিলহুম রুওয়াইদা-। অতএব কাফিরদেরকে অবকাশ দাও; উহাদেরকে অবকাশ দাও কিছু কালের জন্য। Fa-mahhilil-kafirina ’amhilhum ru-wayda. Therefore grant a delay to the Unbelievers: Give respite to them gently (for a while).	17
